A Quiet Island Retreat
on a Flower & Vegetable Farm

The Loft

Our farm is a peaceful respite from the harried pace of life most people contend with. We respect our guests' privacy, but are always available if needed. We strive to provide our guests with the same beauty, security and peace we have enjoyed on the island for 30 years. We encourage guests to enjoy the property, visit the chickens, and walk the orchards and flower & vegetable fields. With windows on three sides of the space that let in beautiful light and enhance the treehouse-like views, The Loft is a perfect adult retreat*. This space can sleep up to 4 people in a luxurious queen-sized bed and a very comfortable fold out couch. The studio is heated with a gas fireplace and features a full kitchen with butcher block bar/island and comfortable dining area. A shared washer and dryer is available for your use.

Incredible ambience on our beautiful farm. Peace, quiet, privacy.

The Space

This beautiful, art-filled space sleeps up to 4 and features an open layout, shoji bedroom doors, a cook’s efficient kitchen with a gas range, butcher block island, and intimate dining area all looking through the tree canopy. Walk our organic flower and vegetable farm, visit our popular and well-stocked farm stand for fresh veggies, flowers, eggs, and much more from local producers. Enjoy the peace, quiet, and privacy of nature and farm rhythms. The farm is a short walk to a beautiful preserve and the beach. In the summer months we offer a dedicated outdoor seating area for guests to unwind with a book, enjoy morning coffee, an evening drink, or just to listen to the birds chirp. We are happy to recommend boating or kayaking excursions for our guests with reputable local companies.

Guest Access
Our guests have access to the entire property and love to walk through the flower and vegetable gardens, have a picnic in the orchard, grill outside on the lawn, watch the chickens, or shop the honor-system farm stand. We are a working farm so you'll likely see us working out in the gardens. Children must be supervised at all times. If visiting the hens, we ask that you let us know so we can introduce you and show you where their feed is.

Ferry Information:

For guests traveling April 25 thru May 17, 2025 please be aware that the Whatcom Chief car ferry goes out of service for yearly maintenance (dry dock). During this time, the island is serviced by a foot passenger ferry only. Please message us if you are interested in visiting us during this time and we'll help you plan your trip.

*For safety, any children must be over the age of ten to stay in the loft.
