Visible Mending & Darning Workshop with Erin Eggenburg
Visible Mending & Darning Workshop with Erin Eggenburg
Join us for a full day dedicated to learning the art of mending with Erin Eggenburg! We love mending our clothing in the fall when it’s time to pull out the sweaters and take stock of the holes that we might have worn into our work pants over the summer
In this class, you’ll learn 2 types of mending: darning for knits and sashiko-inspired visible mending for denims and wovens.
Darning on knits
Fix your tattered socks, sweaters, and knit textiles with a simple woven type of mending known as darning! You’ll learn 3 different types of darning, and practice each technique on a provided sampler. Bring your knits in need of darning, and leave with a plan for mending.
